CALL FOR TECHNICAL EXPERTS
The Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) needs your help!
Do you want to assist in the enforcement process at TBPELS?
This is your opportunity to help advance the engineering and surveying professions!
We are looking for technical experts to assist the Board in making effective determinations on engineering and surveying enforcement cases.
We currently are accepting qualifications and resumes of Texas Licensed Professional Engineers (PE), Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyors (RPLS), and Licensed State Land Surveyors (LSLS) who are experts in their field. From time to time the Board has enforcement cases where additional expertise is needed regarding technical issues or to determine if an engineer or surveyor followed commonly accepted engineering or surveying practices.
TBPELS has been authorized by the legislature to use technical experts to provide assistance in investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
Note: Participation as a technical expert is subject to approval, including determination of possible conflicts of interest. Technical experts will be selected based on qualifications and assigned on a case-by-case basis and may be engaged on a contract or pro-bono basis. Technical experts are not employees of the State of Texas or the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. This process is in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and Texas Government Code Chapter 2254.
