As the greatest state in the Union, Texas has much to celebrate. During the 87th Legislative Session in 2021, Governor Abbott signed Senate Concurrent Resolution 23, officially establishing the Texas America250 Commission, "to help celebrate the semiquincentennial of the United States." Since its creation, the Commission has facilitated and coordinated events and programs throughout Texas for Texans of all ages to commemorate this historic milestone.
