Land Surveyor Fees

SIT Application Fee	$15	Fee to apply for license as a Surveyor in Training (SIT).
FS Examination Fee	Refer to NCEES	Fee to take examination for registration as a Surveyor in Training (SIT).
PS Examination Fee	Refer to NCEES	Fee to take the Principles of Surveying examination for registration as a Texas RPLS.
SIT Renewal Fee	$15	Fee to renew an SIT when the 8 year certification is due to expire.
RPLS Application Fee	$75	Fee to apply to be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).
RPLS Application Reactivation Fee	$50	Fee to reactivate an application that has been administratively withdrawn.
LSLS Application Fee	$75	Fee to apply to be a Licensed State Land Surveyor(LSLS).
Texas RPLS Examination Fee - Texas State Specific Exam (TSSE)	$75*	Fee to take TSSE examination to be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS). * This examination is separate from the NCEES PS exam.
LSLS Examination Fee	$75	Fee to take examination to be a Licensed State Land Surveyor(LSLS).
RPLS One-Year Registration Renewal Fee (Active)	$50	Fee to renew an existing, active, RPLS Registration for one year.
RPLS Two-Year Registration Renewal Fee (Active)	$100	Fee to renew an existing, active, RPLS Registration for two years.
RPLS One-Year Registration Renewal Fee (Inactive)	$50	Fee to renew an existing, inactive, RPLS Registration for one year.
RPLS Two-Year Registration Renewal Fee (Inactive)	$100	Fee to renew an existing, inactive, RPLS Registration for two years.
RPLS Registration Renewal Late Fee 1	$50	RPLS renewal late fee, 0-90 days late. Assessed on top of Renewal.
RPLS Registration Renewal Late Fee 2	$50	RPLS renewal late fee, 90+ days late. Assessed on top of Renewal and Late Fee 1.
LSLS One-Year License Renewal Fee	$50	Fee to renew an existing, Licensed State Land Surveyor License (LSLS) for one year.
LSLS Two-Year License Renewal Fee	$100	Fee to renew an existing, Licensed State Land Surveyor License (LSLS) for two years.
LSLS License Renewal Late Fee 1	$50	LSLS renewal late fee, 0-90 days late. Assessed on top of Renewal.
LSLS License Renewal Late Fee 2	$50	LSLS renewal late fee, 90+ days late. Assessed on top of Renewal.
Land Surveyor Firm Registration Fee	$150	Fee to apply for registration of firm offering land surveying services in Texas.
Land Surveyor Firm One-Year Renewal Fee	$150	Fee to renew a land surveyor firm registration for one year.
Land Surveyor Firm Two-Year Renewal Fee	$300	Fee to renew a land surveyor firm registration for two years.
Land Surveyor Firm Late Renewal Fee	$150	Surveying firm renewal late fee. Assessed on top of renewal.

Engineer Fees

Fee	Amount	Description
PE License Application Fee	$75	Application fee to apply for a Professional Engineer license. If you feel you qualify for a military exemption, refer to: Military Information Page
PE Application Reactivation Fee	$50	Fee to reactivate a PE application that has been administratively withdrawn due to not submitting the required application documents in a timely manner.
PE License One-Year Renewal Fee	$50	Fee to renew an existing PE license for one year.
PE License Two-Year Renewal Fee	$100	Fee to renew an existing PE license for two years.
PE License Renewal Late Fee 1	$50	PE renewal late fee, 0-90 days late. Assessed on top of Renewal.
PE License Renewal Late Fee 2	$50	PE renewal late fee, 90+ days late. Assessed on top of Renewal and Late Fee 1.
Engineering Sole Practitioner (SP) Firm Registration	$25	Fee for sole practitioner to register an engineering firm.
Engineering Firm Registration	$150	Fee to license a new engineering firm.
SP Firm One-Year Renewal Fee	$25	Fee to renew a sole practitioner engineering firm registration for one year.
SP Firm Two-Year Renewal Fee	$50	Fee to renew a sole practitioner engineering firm registration for two years.
Engineering Firm One-Year Renewal Fee	$150	Fee to renew an engineering firm registration for one year.
Engineering Firm Two-Year Renewal Fee	$300	Fee to renew an engineering firm registration for two years.
Late SP Firm Renewal Fee	$25	Fee for failure to pay sole proprietor firm registration renewal. This fee is effective on the day following the renewal deadline and is in addition to the renewal fee.
Late Engineering Firm Renewal	$150	Fee for failure to pay firm registration renewal. This fee is effective on the day following the renewal deadline and is in addition to the renewal fee.
FE Exam	Refer to NCEES	Fee to register for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam given by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
PE Exam	Refer to NCEES	Fee to register for Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam given by NCEES.
Structural Exam	Refer to NCEES	Fee to register for each Engineering Structural Exam. There are two different 8-hour exams given by NCEES.
Return Check Fee	$40	Fee charged for check written with insufficient funds.
EIT Fee	$15	Fee to register as an engineer-in-training.
